WHAT IS DRY ICE BLASTING
Dry ice blasting is a precision cleaning process that uses compressed air to accelerate solid CO₂ particles toward a contaminated surface. Upon impact, a combination of kinetic energy and rapid thermal change helps fracture and dislodge unwanted material. The dry ice then sublimates directly from solid to gas, leaving no secondary blasting media behind.
The result is a dry, highly controlled cleaning process that requires no added water, abrasive blasting media, or chemical saturation.
Because dry ice blasting can be non-abrasive on many substrates, it is particularly well suited for complex assemblies, sensitive components, finished surfaces, and high-value assets where preservation of the underlying material is critical. Applications range from aircraft maintenance and aerospace components to collector automobiles, restoration projects, machinery, and specialized industrial equipment.
